We have been learning about the millions of children in the world who cannnot go to school and are joining in the Send My Friend to School Campaign. The whole school wrote messages to pursuade the world leaders to ensure all children in the world are able to go to school. Year 6 wrote persuasive letters to the Prime Minister and the Year 5s to our local MP Mr Sam Gyimah. Mr Gyimah then invited a group of the children to take the letters to No10 and to visit the Houses of Parliament. It was interesting to learn about our British parliamentary System.
